The Mandlason Search Process
The Search will get done through a highly interactive process which will lead you to have a choice of three to four exceptional people.  Choice is what it’s all about - there’s nothing worse than being faced with only one candidate, do you hire or don’t you?  We call it the “tallest dwarf syndrome”.  What’s worse, the candidate figures out they are the only serious contender and they drag it along, bid up the salary and then their partner/spouse blocks the move.  The result is you end up losing so much time and ultimately revenue.  You need to drive the Short List through a strong process so you can decide at the end who will meet your goals best.
Our Search process is research based, with four steps:
(1) A Workshop to develop a Blueprint -  The Blueprint is one of our most popular pieces of Intellectual Property which serves to both excite the right person and to quickly qualify out inappropriate people.  
(2) Research – The goal is to develop a Short List of three to four exceptional people so you have choice between employed people who are focused on your opportunity.  We’ll report to you every few days, you’ll see the names emerging and it’s a very open and fruitful process.
(3) Qualification - On many engagements, our CEO/Founder will meet everyone and put them through their paces.  The Short List will be strong and qualified.  We encourage our clients to start the interview process by meeting the Short List on the same day, or over 2 days, so they can make direct comparisons.
(4) Finalisation – We’re experts in risk management of those final critical steps of negotiation, notice periods, spouses, counter offers and references.
